Children’s portraits

A child portrait is the best way to preserve the memory of the careless and happy time of your beloved child! This art movement is one of the most interesting. The children’s world is beautiful and unique. The most important task for the Artist is to characterize the child, considering his or her individualities. I make Children’s Portraits in all techniques (oils, watercolor, pastel, charcoal, and pencil portrait on canvas).

Posing for the Artist

I want to reassure you that you will not have to pose for a good while. Your double visit for 1.5-2 hours is more than enough. At the initial meeting, we come up with the model correct position, changing the gaze, head, and body direction and consider suitable accessories and backgrounds. I really like to paint thematic portraits, as some objects can help to emphasize the person’s character and worldview, which make him or her differ from others.

I sketch the model with pencil, charcoal, or paint during the first meeting. We jointly decide the portrait size and technique. I am always very attentive to the customer preferences and do my best to make a good choice to achieve the highest quality result.
Your portrait will be practically finished by the time of our second meeting and posing. At the second meeting, I, as an artist, add more brightness and airiness and highlight those elusive features that previously could have escaped my attention. You portrait will be practically finished. Together we can put the finishing touches to complete the portrait.
You might not notice how the posing time just flew by. You can always brake for a cup of coffee or juice and have a cheerful conversation with the artist. It is interesting and probably exciting to be the artist’s model.
