Family portraits

A family portrait can be painted based on several photographs, for example.

Once I have enough photographic material, I can create drawing sketches and color sketches based on it.
I will send you the sketches, for example, by email. After the sketch is approved, I will begin painting the actual artwork.

Sometimes, completing a sketch takes as much time as creating a larger painting. I have painted family portraits using various techniques and utilizing multiple photographs, especially in situations where the client did not have one suitable image as a basis for the artwork. This has allowed me to develop strong expertise in challenging portrait processes.

I once painted a piece using approximately 10 photographs with oil painting technique, because the client didn't have a perfectly suitable image for what they wanted to achieve in the painting!
