The course price includes an inspiring painting demonstration by the instructor at the beginning!
During the course, you will:

• Paint and draw with various materials.
• Topics: Summer moods, abstractions, and human figures.
Painting Supplies:
Painting supplies are not included in the course price. You can bring your own materials or purchase basic painting supplies on-site (€25 / set, to be arranged in advance).
Svetlana Ruoho is a member of the Finnish Painters' Union and the artists' associations of Jyväskylä and Espoo, and has 20 years of experience as an art teacher.
Pihlajakoski harbor has a cozy cafe offering fresh pastries and ice cream. Additionally, a legendary pizza restaurant operates in the area.
During the course, participants can use their familiar painting tools or try new ones. Options include, for example, acrylic, watercolor, or oil paints, as well as various drawing techniques.
On-site, you can purchase a ready basic material package for €25, which includes:
• Water-soluble paints (acrylic, gouache, pastels)
• Watercolor paper
• One stretched canvas for an additional €10
Various sizes of brushes, pencils and an eraser, a sponge for painting, palette knives, a palette base for mixing colors, e.g., disposable plates, paper towels, tape, a water container.

Pihlajakoski has a good restaurant and a village shop about 200 meters away. The renovated cafe can be accessed directly through the door next to Kulttuurimakasiini.
