Family in a cottage setting

This painting is a birthday present for a father of three children. The birthday boy and all three children are depicted on the painting. The gift was designed by his parents. The customers sent me about 20 photos by email. This was of course a great help, but also a challenge, because the photos showed people from different angles and I had to choose only one perspective for the painting. My drawing skills and many 10 years of experience were really helpful in completing this work.
Of course, all the people in the group portrait are very recognizable. The theme of the painting is a sunny summer day by the lake at the cottage. Everyone is busy with their own business, and at the same time the whole family is together: someone is fishing, another is lighting a campfire or just standing and hugging. The painting is done with oil paints on canvas. The customer was very satisfied with the quality of the work and the schedule. This was a great surprise and a wonderful gift for the whole family.
I also helped clients with framing the work, and the finished portrait was picked up from my studio in Espoo.
